Knowledge lives everywhere. It lives in conversations, documents, meetings, memories, programs, shared drives, relationships, and the experience of people doing the work every day. But when that knowledge is scattered, siloed, or hard to find, it can become difficult to make decisions, onboard others, transfer what people know, or prepare for what comes next.

Process mapping is necessary for running a business, organization, program, or team. We all have processes, procedures, routines, and ways of working. When we map those processes, we can see what is happening, where gaps exist, and where there may be opportunities to improve.

The “All-You-Can-Eat” Phase of AI One of the more interesting points from the podcast was the idea that we are in an “all-you-can-eat” phase of AI. Right now, organizations are deploying AI systems at relatively low cost compared to the enormous infrastructure required to support them.

This prompted me to pursue the Presencing Institute’s Visual Practitioner Certification—a program I have intermittently considered for some time. I believe it will enhance my understanding of how visual practices can be the groundwork for cultivating innovation, collaboration, strategy, community, and collective work—an area I've been curious about for some time.
